Thaylin & Doug of Ladysmith sent us some pictures of their brand new Strand
Woven Bamboo Floor.
Ladysmith is located on Vancouver Island British Columbia, Canada. Overlooking
the beautiful Georgia Strait, approximately 20 minutes south of Nanaimo, 45 minutes
north of Victoria, an hour and a half ferry ride form Vancouver BC. An

Thaylin and Doug received samples on several different types of hardwood flooring,
finally deciding on the Bamboo Strand Woven Carbonized flooring.
Strand Woven Bamboo Flooring is made from bamboo strands compressed to a higher
density than regular bamboo flooring. It is a much harder bamboo flooring. It
remains one of the hardest hardwood floor coverings and is also perfect for commercial
use. The appearance is a more traditional one, yet the bamboo joints (or nodes)
are still noticeable. Technically, the bamboo is not woven, but as you
can see the pattern in the boards is very natural. The Carbonized colour
strand woven bamboo has a very warm and rich tone. The Aluminum Oxide finish
is guaranteed not to wear through for 25 yrs.
