KING OF FLOORS' HOCKEY ANTHEM CHALLENGE
Official Contest Rules and Regulations
Rules in effect as of January 18, 2010
Winner Announced: April 19, 2010
We are looking for the official King of Floors Hockey Anthem. Canadian
residents are eligible to enter but anyone with a YouTube account, even if
you live outside of Canada, is welcome to vote on which entry they think
should win.
The winner will receive:
- $5,000 in free flooring from the King of Floors
- A TEAM Radio prize pack
- The chance to have their hockey anthem played on TEAM Radio for the 265,000 listeners who tune in every day
Formats and Details:
Contestants must write their own 30-second song and either film or audio record themselves singing it. Entries must be submitted in one of the following formats:
- Windows Media Video (.WMV)
- .3GP (cell phones)
- .AVI (windows)
- .MOV (mac)
- .MP4 (ipod/psp)
- .MPEG
- .FLV (adobe flash)
- .MKV (h.264)
Audio entries must be submitted in .MP3 format. All entries must include lyrics. As the King of Floors is a sponsor of TEAM Radio's coverage of the Canucks, lyrics must mention the King of Floors, Sir Scruffy and include some aspect of hockey. For trademark reasons, please do not mention the names of any sports teams.
Submission Details:
- Entries will be accepted from 12:01 a.m. on Monday, January 18 to 11:59p.m. on Monday, March 22, 2010
- The King of Floors will review all submissions personally and will judge them based on creativity
- All qualifying submissions will be posted to the King of Floors YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/KingOfFloorsCanada
- On Wednesday, March 24, the Top Ten submissions will be selected and voting from the public will begin at that time and will end on Sunday, April 18, 2010 at 11:59 p.m.
- The winning anthem will be announced on Monday, April 19
Contestants can enter using one of the following methods:

There is no fee to enter and all submissions become the property of King of Floors and will not be returned to entrants. King of Floors has the right to use all entries at no charge to the entrant for as long as the company requires. King of Floors has the right to edit any submission.
Don't Forget...
All audio submissions must also include a photo of the entrant. This is so that when an audio entry is uploaded to YouTube a suitable background can accompany the song on the King of Floors' YouTube channel.
Contestants can enter more than one submission but each must be sent in separately. Contestants must be 18 years or older.
The King of Floors is not liable for lost, late, stolen, illegible or misdirected submissions. The King of Floors will have the final say in any disputed issue regarding submissions.
